The Tank Louis Cartier is a classic in the Tank series.
This model, manufactured in the late 1980s to early 1990s, features a thin movement made by Frédéric Piguet.
With its guilloché dial, thin manual winding, and solid gold construction, this Tank Louis model can be considered a perfected design.
While the Tank Louis from the 1970s is certainly wonderful, this model, equipped with Frédéric Piguet's high-end movement, undeniably has a different feel.
The overall condition is good, with few major dents or scratches.
There is no noticeable thinning of the case or rounding of its shape. As the original condition was clean, it has been finished with a light polish.
The dial is clean with few stains or dirt.
Upon closer inspection, it appears to have a slight ivory-like discoloration due to its age, but it's not a level that would be particularly concerning.
There are no scratches on the crystal.
The buckle is a genuine Cartier GP (a separate 18K buckle is also available).
The strap is an aftermarket alligator strap (bamboo pattern).
