This is a quarter repeater, the easiest-to-use type of repeater among repeaters, which chimes every 15 minutes.
Repeaters were originally developed as ultra-complicated mechanisms for aristocrats to tell time in the dark at night, and basically, only expensive ones exist.
For watches with the most expensive minute repeaters, it's common for wristwatches to easily exceed 10 million yen.
This is a quarter repeater, which is the most affordable type of repeater, but it can be judged as a high-end model due to its beautifully polished bridges and gears, the adoption of a double hammer system, a solid 14K hunter case, and a solid gold inner lid to protect the movement.
The brand is WAKO. It is a group company of Hattori Seiko, the predecessor of SEIKO, which sold imported watches.
This is a custom-made model that WAKO had Swiss INVICTA, LTD create.
INVICTA seems to have been a brand that made repeaters and ultra-complicated watches with repeaters and chronographs, and only high-end models appear in my research.
Although it no longer exists, it seems to have been a brand with considerable technical skill.
I don't know the price at the time, but I can imagine it was very expensive.
Currently, many wristwatch repeaters are out of reach as ultra-complicated mechanisms, but pocket watches are still available at affordable prices, making them recommended for collection or appreciation.
However, the number of items that operate correctly, keep accurate time, and have good exterior condition is quite small, and the appearance of this watch itself is quite rare.
