IWC Ingenieur SL 3506
Introducing a rare gold-plated combination bracelet for the IWC Ingenieur SL.
The "Ingenieur SL" was designed by Gérald Genta, famous for designing Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak.
While models with a case diameter exceeding 40mm, known as "Jumbo," often trade for several million yen, this is a slightly smaller model.
It is an affordable and easy-to-wear SL model.
However, this particular model had a very short production run of only about 3 years, and the combination of a bezel, gold and bracelet combination, and automatic movement was rarely produced, making it a phantom model.
It is virtually impossible to find, even overseas. (There are models with a gold bezel, or quartz models with a combination bracelet.)
The original price at the time was quite high, so it seems only about 800 units were manufactured, making it a rare item today.
Most of these were SS models, and I've even heard that there were only about 10 YG combination models.
The reference is 3506, and the movement is the 3753 automatic. It boasts a luxurious specification with a 21-karat gold rotor.
Daily difference: approximately ±20 seconds
The overall condition is good.
There are some minor scratches and light dents on the case, but nothing noticeable.
The gold-colored parts (at 6 and 12 o'clock) on the combination section of the bracelet from the case to the lugs appear to be gold-plated, and while they are slightly faded, it is barely noticeable.
The overall condition is good.
As this is a very rare item, it is unlikely that the same specification will come onto the market again.
Given the small number of units, a significant increase in value can be expected in the future.
