Among vintage Cartiers, the Organic Tank is a rare model known only to a select few.
It is a rare model with only about 3,000 pieces manufactured between 1975 and 1976.
The ref. 216117 is also a rare LM size, slightly larger than the Must or Louis LM.
Both the dial and case use Brazilian rosewood, a very rare material, making this a highly-regarded item as a watch that cannot be made today.
The overall condition appears to be very good.
The case has minor scratches, but the original plating is intact.
The case back has some minor scratches and some chipping in places, but overall it is relatively clean.
The wood on the case, too, has some slight chipping on the back at the 7 o'clock position, but there are no cracks, and it is in a condition where it can be used without problems.
The dial and glass are also very clean.
The overall condition is very good.
