Origin｜Why Toyama?
Currently, Ante introduces vintage watches to customers worldwide from Ginza.
However, we didn't start in Tokyo.
Our journey began in an old warehouse near the sea in Toyama Prefecture.
We renovated the warehouse, inherited from its previous owner, and gradually created a space where we truly felt comfortable, incorporating furniture, lighting, and interiors collected from all over the world.
A space where the vintage watches displayed there naturally blend in, and visitors can enjoy their time at a leisurely pace.
That was our ideal.
We chose an appointment-only system for the Toyama store.
This was not to welcome many customers in a day, but to dedicate ample time to each individual customer.
Instead of simply displaying watches for sale, we sought to understand our customers' lifestyles and values, and together find the perfect watch that truly suited them.
What we valued was not the time spent selling a watch, but the time spent discovering a watch.
I have an ideal that has remained unchanged since the company's founding.
I want our store to be a place that people wish to travel to, not just a stop on their journey.
I want them to take home not only a watch, but also memories of the local atmosphere, scenery, and the time they spent there.
I believe that is what truly makes for a rich shopping experience.
Currently, we are reaching out to the world from Ginza.
This is to deliver this value to more people.
However, even if the location changes, what we cherish remains exactly the same.
Toyama is where Ante's values were nurtured.
Ginza is where we share those values with the world.
Even with different locations, what we value will never change.
